Gustavo's referring to the recent announcement that Microsoft is going to pay developers $100 per app that is approved for including in the Windows Store.
This $100 programme is a dumb move, and although I thought about writing about it at the time, sometimes a move is so dumb it's better just to ignore it. And now I'm not. I'm changable like the British weather.
Why's the $100 programme dumb? Well, as Gastavo implies it just gets people writing throwaway apps just to get their $100.
It looks desperate as it will only attract amateur developers looking to fill the Windows Store with rubbish.

Wrong. Average users only look at app numbers. Microsoft needs a half a million apps to appeal to the masses.
The only app I really miss in the Modern UI is IMDB. The web site just isn't as good as the Phone 8 or iPAD apps.

I would like the Windows Store to have a right mouse pop up with a brief description of each app to avoid having to click on the app to read about it. When looking for specific functionality a right mouse click app description would be a big time saver. It seems silly to have to google for Windows apps to find one that claims that it will do what I need.

#2 - yeah i find the Windows Store and Windows Phone stores really poorly designed and seem to have been made just to make looking for decent apps as hard as possible.

Looking for apps on the Apple store is fun (at least until you realize that you will hardly use any of the hundreds of app you download).
Looking for apps on the Windows Store is booooring! I think more categories or sub categories would help but something needs to be done. Unless you know what you are looking for, nothing stands out.
