'Fix It' Released for Windows 7 Upgrade Problem
Time: 23:34 EST/04:34 GMT | News Source: Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine Online | Posted By: Kenneth van Surksum

The problem, for Vista users upgrading to Windows 7, is that the installer program never completes the upgrade. Instead, some users get a system hang after 62 percent of the upgrade has been completed.

When are they going to fix the USB problem? Since I installed 7 two weeks ago, I've had 6 complete system hangs when restoring data from an external USB drive, and 3 BSODs when copying data to a USB thumb drive. My PC is only a year old and never had an issue with Vista and USB, so I doubt it's a hardware issue. 7 also failed to detect an nVidia nForce component that's been around for several years, making me have to install Vista drivers to get it seen. At this point I'm sorry I did the upgrade. So far 7 has added nothing for me but has caused me lots of problems. Way to go Microsoft.
