Microsoft Announces Surface: New Family of PCs for Windows | |

Today at an event in Hollywood, Microsoft unveiled Surface: PCs built to be the ultimate stage for Windows. Company executives showed two Windows tablets and accessories that feature significant advances in industrial design and attention to detail. Surface is designed to seamlessly transition between consumption and creation, without compromise. It delivers the power of amazing software with Windows and the feel of premium hardware in one exciting experience. Two models of Surface will be available: one running an ARM processor featuring Windows RT, and one with a third-generation Intel Core processor featuring Windows 8 Pro. From the fast and fluid interface, to the ease of connecting you to the people, information and apps that users care about most, Surface will be a premium way to experience all that Windows has to offer. Surface for Windows RT will release with the general availability of Windows 8, and the Windows 8 Pro model will be available about 90 days later. Both will be sold in the Microsoft Store locations in the U.S. and available through select online Microsoft Stores. |

Well, we'll have to see where they price them.
Secondly, Microsoft has a truly HORRIFIC history when it comes to hardware. They will cancel and abandon hardware products out of no where, without warning, as they have proven time and time again in the past. I've personally been burned too many times. I would never personally trust them again when it comes to hardware. |

| Funny. I love my Microsoft keyboard and mouse, had them for years and they still support them. |

| I do like the Microsoft Mice/Keyboards... but I do have a lot of hardware that is gone by the wayside. It does look cool though. I guess we will have to get them |

| Keyboards and mice (well, most of them) haven't been the issue. |
