Data Access & Storage Developer Center
Time: 02:32 EST/07:32 GMT | News Source: Microsoft | Posted By: Jonathan Tigner

Welcome to the Data Access & Storage Developer Center, the home for developer information on Microsoft data technologies from MSDN. I'm Christa Carpentiere, the person to praise or blame for the content that shows up here. If you want to see what my goals are for this site, plus a general introduction to the layout, check out the Editor's Note. Since this is a brand-new site, I'm still experimenting with site structure and content. If you have any feedback on the current implementation, drop me a line. In the meantime, explore the site and happy developing!

In the Product Information area, you'll find product information and general conceptual information about SQL Server, WinFS, Access, FoxPro, ADO.NET, and MDAC. In the Data Fundamentals area, you'll find core conceptual information about building databases and data access components. In the Using Data Access Technologies section, you'll find information on using ADO.NET and MDAC to retrieve, display, and update data. In the Building ... Solutions areas, you'll find targeted information about designing, creating, and deploying an application with that particular database technology, including coverage of data access issues. If you are new to working with data technologies, take a look at the Getting Started with Databases and Getting Started with Data Access sections. These sections provide an introduction to basic concepts used in these technologies. If you would like more information about what's going on with different products, visit the Community section for blogs, third-party sites and more.
