ActiveWin.com: Longhorn 4074 available on MSDN
Time: 16:47 EST/21:47 GMT | News Source: ActiveWin.com | Posted By: Todd Richardson

MSDN subscribers can now get their hands on the version of Longhorn that WinHEC attendees got yesterday. Microsoft has posted build 4074 of Longhorn on the MSDN Subscriber Downloads site. Interestingly, the iso of build 4074 registers at 733.75 MBs, meaning it must be burned onto a DVD. The iso for 4074 is nearly 100 MBs larger than the iso distributed at last year's PDC. Anyway, click the headline to get started! Microsoft has said they are making this available only for download, and will not ship Longhorn build 4074 with the June updates.

I saw some video of the new DWM stuff and I have to say it looks absolutely amazing.

I think neowin has it posted.

It just looks SOOO good. When they have windows layered on top of each other there is just some actual depth to it all and it is just amazing... I think it looks better than OSX, but I'd have to compare them side by side.

becker: I do prefer the XP interface in general, but I was referring to the actual rendering of the desktop.

Also, the print screen function does not yet support DWM, so when you try to do a screenshot it just looks like an older build without DWM.
