Although the interface is a bit wacky, if you ask me, the idea is sound: help people determine if their copy is genuine or a pirated copy.

However, the media (actual disk) is usually useless without the CDKEY. Media is actually cheap, it's the key that costs the real money in comparison. Perhaps they should have a "verify my CDKEY" wizard.

actually for the most part we do. We may let one install slide every now and then but we're crazy anal about our VLK's as are most medium\large companies.
