Microsoft Corp. on Monday said it has formed a new group that will be responsible for driving the company's strategies for converging home entertainment technologies, personal computing and media. The Media/Entertainment & Technology Convergence Group will focus on the areas of business and market development, technical and intellectual property policy and industry-standards initiatives. Blair Westlake, former chairman of the Universal Television and Networks Group, will head the group. |
