  Microsoft says image in Japan has been tainted

The head of Microsoft's Japan unit acknowledged yesterday that the company's battle with Japanese anti-monopoly authorities over a licensing clause has hurt its corporate image here. But Michael Rawding, Microsoft Japan's president and chief executive, said the company will continue to oppose a Fair Trade Commission ruling last month ordering Microsoft to retroactively remove the clause from its licensing agreements.

Bwaah! You hurt my image! Sniff. Bwaaah! The crybaby companies chose their legal playing field in Japan. Don't blame Microsoft.

Now that I think about it, it is very astute of Microsoft to cozy up to the crybabies mentioned in the artcle. Good PR, lets the crybabies save face, or whatever. What a crazy legal world we live in.
