Windows XP Remote Desktop Connection software [XPSP2 6.0.2600.0]
Time: 00:39 EST/05:39 GMT | News Source: ActiveWin.com | Posted By: Robert Stein

This software package will install the client portion of Remote Desktop on any of the following operating systems: Windows 95, Windows 98 and 98 Second Edition, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, or Windows 2000. (This is the same version of the client software as in Windows XP Service Pack 2.) When run, this software allows older Windows platforms to remotely connect to a computer running Windows XP Professional with Remote Desktop enabled. This package provides flexible deployment options of the full Terminal Services Client, including auto-repair through Windows Installer technology and application publishing via IntelliMirror™ management technologies or Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS).

3 years ago? The Windows 2000 default one?
There's 24-bit colour (I think that is new), and a checkbox for automatically reconnecting if disconnected... I dunno. I can't really remember what the Windows 2000 client was like... are you able to stream sound from the server to your client?...

Why do I have 5.1.2600.2180 as the version of my XP SP2 RDC Client?

Does any one have this version installed with SP2

Mine was a slip streamed clean install.
