Team Foundation Beta 3 Released | |

Today we signed off on Team Foundation Beta 3! If you used beta 2, beta 3 is a vast improvement. Beta 3 should hopefully show up on MSDN in about two days. You may remember that beta 3 has the go-live license and will be supported for migration to the final release version 1, which means this is the last time you have to start from scratch. With beta 3, single-server installation is once again supported! I know many people didn't install the July CTP because of the lack of a single-server installation. With each public release, installation has gotten easier and more reliable, and this is the best installation thus far. " |

VS.NET 2k5 + Team Foundation Server is going to be a 1-2 punch for Microsoft. VS.NET 2k5 rocks. Simple as that. They did it right. (3rd time is a charm.)
Don't get me wrong, VS.NET 2k3 is great... but VSS is horrible, and there are enough bugs and quirks in 2k3 to make my day just a little longer than it needs to be. I've been using VS.NET 2k5 beta 1/2 for a while now (at home) and it's simply awesome. Gone are the annoyances that have driven me nuts for a couple of years.... replaced by pure, yummy development bliss. |
