We've been sent what we believe (from what those who have seen it have said) is a real photo (full hi-res) of the Origami hardware. We can't go into too many details...but check the picture out for yourselves.
Right well its going to be around $400/$600 - its a cross over Portable Media Device/Laptop, its more designed for just using around the house or on a coffee table. It looks cheap because thats what they are aiming for it to be. It will run games, but basically ignore the video you saw of it running halo, although the 2/3 frames per second you saw would be about right. It also runs a full OS, not a smaller version like Windows Mobile or anything like that. For those who think this device is going to be a competitor to the PSP or Nintendo DS (though I can see it can be there more) it won't be. This device will not appeal to portable gamers at all.

Looks like a fake, with some photo shop work done on it. Could be any device, with that MS screen on it and the writting is way too small to read, even on my 19" monitor at 1280 X 1024 its hard to read it.

Well from what we know - the photo you see that contains the desktop was shown in a slide showing off Origami last week.

Anyone know how to block these annoying a.tribalfusion.com popups? It's getting past all 3 of my blockers, and even gets through the blacklist in IE SP2.
I only see this when visiting ActiveWinPopup.com

You could change your blocker settings in IE to high such that all are blocked unless you hold down control, and/or change third-party cookie handling so only first-party cookies are accepted and third-party ones are blocked. At one point I think I came accross a case where some popups got through until I cleared my cookies and cache, and subsequently changed cookie handling. The IE Dev toolbar lets you clear the cache/cookies specifically for the current domain if you don't want to clear the whole thing.
Also, IE 7 seems to be improved in terms of popup blocking, but that may not be an option for you depending on your environment.

To be honest, and I know it'll get me flamed, I use Firefox and get no pop ups at all (might be AdBlock I guess).

#7: Shouldn't get you flamed as its honest. I use Firefox and still get a popup or two though. Believe me when I say I hate them as much as you do, but its not in my hands which is frustrating as hell!

IE 7 Beta 2 blocks them for me, but I let them through on purpose and click through on occasion - I figure, that AW has costs and could use the resources to keep the site going - I'm sure their host in PA kicks out an invoice right as rain each month and like all enterprises, they have costs to cover.
Short of significant donations, or independent wealth... I don't see how else they can keep going.
In short, "thanks, AW for supporitng the site, and we don't mind the ads."
