Microsoft is working hard to ensure users of Apple's iPod music player do not experience difficulty when trying to use the device with Windows Vista. Among several patches released for the new operating system was one designed to address iPod issues that have appeared. Users had complained that their iPods were becoming corrupted after using the "Safely Remove Hardware" option to eject the player.
While Apple itself had addressed several of the problems with Vista in the iTunes 7.1 release earlier this month, it warned that the hardware removal issue was a Microsoft problem and advised users not to access the option. Even with the fix, however, 64-bit versions of Windows XP and Vista still remain incompatible with iTunes.

TechLarry: Windows Update for Vista has been a bit dissapointing as it doesn't always provide the updates that are available and needed. I have had to use MS's file download site to get specific fixes that Vista's "Update" didn't recognize were needed, or wasn't yet properly programmed to find what is needed and match it with what is available. Hopefully, the system will improve soon.

Now if they could fix Active Sync - that would be something. Sigh... maybe it is asking too much for Windows Mobile 5(!!!) to sync properly with any flavor of Windows.
(BTW - it still sucks in Vista for those of you out there that are connected to MS.)

I agree 100% Bob :)
At least it's FASTER than doing a Microsoft Update with XP, which these days seems to take 5 min just for it to determine the updates needed.
