  NTFS compression corruption bug on Windows Home Server fixed

On a Windows installation that uses the NTFS file system, there is an option in the Advanced Attributes section of the properties of a file to "Compress contents to save disk space." This NTFS file compression is rarely used by the average person, but the feature does come in handy once in a while. In late March, a Windows Home Server (WHS) user reported (best written WHS bug of 2008, so far) that such files may not be backed up correctly by the operating system.
