“The Surface, Microsoft’s first tablet, feels like a Mercedes-Benz to me, people! The full-size keyboard built right into the cover makes work easy, the very smart kickstand makes watching a movie or Skyping a friend a delight, the less than a pound-and-a-half weight makes a great alternative to a laptop, and the many other features make it fun for work and play. Now, that’s a wowser!”

I sincerely hope everyone realizes Microsoft paid her to do that.

You do realize that Oprah is a brand that is valued and trusted by millions - she doesn't just willy-nilly advocate products that she doesn't believe in. Remember that author she suggested who turned out to be a fraud a few years back? She took quite a hit for that. Now, I'm fairly certain she didn't write the endorsement herself but unless you have proof that MS paid her (and there is nothing wrong with that if they did), then perhaps you should put that in the form of a question -
Do you think MS paid her for that?

I really do. Microsoft's marketing budget for this prodcut is enormous - Oprah, while a very huge brand, is still on her own network and that is having problems....HARPO is still a business and needs to make money. I can see what Microsoft has done in the past over the years I've worked with them and they can make things happen. I am sure they either paid her company directly or paid a marketing firm who has an established relationship with the show to get them on there....

Bob, your certainty is not proof. Can you show me evidence?
Personally, I don't give a rats ass. It makes sence that they would, but we don't KNOW that for sure.
