You heard it first here! The official new name for the Longhorn operating system is Microsoft Windows Vista, according to our insider sources. The name was mentioned today at the Microsoft sales conference in Atlanta. The official announcement will go live at 6 AM PST. The press release will be live here at this time. Bink has followed up our lead by posting the Microsoft domain registration. Microsoft Watch has done a nice follow up to our story.

Windows Vista is an interesting name - so is Yugo, Pinto, Metro, Pacer, Gremlin.......
Why do I have a bad feeling about this? Oh wait, it's Micro$oft.......

I thought Longhorn was appropriate for what the software is intended to do - take over control of users' computers - the LONG arm of Microsoft and other vendors HORNing in on your privacy.
Vista is appropriate too, however, since it means "view" and what it gives vendors including Microsoft is a complete view of your system - although it kind of bypasses the description of the control they mean to exert over it.
Maybe that is the intent - like "Trusted Computing" being intended to deceive us users into believing that it will be more trustworthy for USERS, when in reality it only means it will be more trustworthy for VENDORS, who will be able to disable applications on our PCs and delete files from our PCs remotely without users' consent.
My current goal is to get a new motherboard before you can no longer find one without the "Fritz" chip that will prevent users from disabling Windows "Vista" spyware/controlware.

When they say it's due at the end of 2006, you can automatically count on it taking until 2007.
So how about calling it something like Windows007 or Win007?
Anything but "Vista":(

You know that saying, it takes a village to heighten a child?
Evidently, Kanye's village has failed him. He buy cialis mastercard obviously doesn't have a existent chum in the world. There does not manifest to be anyone who can journey by as a consequence to him, to promulgate him understand that he needs to check his awful behavior.
