Update!
I just thought I would post a little update today and say nothing! As you may have noticed, this is a recurring theme on my blog. I'm headed to KC the day after tomorrow or Saturday afternoon so I can catch my plan to Seattle on Sunday. That's my big excitement. BUT, what may turn out to be even more exciting, is tomorrow I am going to the Nebraska state legistlature! Don't everyone be jealous now.

Maybe I'll talk about movies now. I have seen a lot of movies in the last week, but none of them new. I've watched American History X, Black Hawk Down, and Tigerland in the past two days - all movies that are very good. I watched Contact last weekend, as well as the first two parts of Band of Brothers (and I caught the first one again last night). I couldn't get to sleep last night till about three, since I drank caffine. I'm wierd with that stuff... it doesn't make me hyper, but I can't get to sleep once I have had some. Oh well. I'd like to write more but I don't have anything good to say right now. Have a good one.

Nothing to say!
I don't have anything to say, I just wanted to post something :) KU lost yesterday, so that sucks. I studied probably 5 hours yesterday for American Government test tomorrow, so hopefully it will pay off... I think it will, since I already know my notes very well and have a good idea on the other questions that will likey show up.

I'm headed home this Friday (Kansas City from Lincoln, Nebraska) so on Sunday I can fly out to Seattle, Washington and go hang out at Microsoft. So, that should be a lot of fun. Bob is planning a dinner for everyone and stuff. It will be very strange to finally meet the people I have IMed for the last three years. After that much time you get to know someone pretty well, even though you have never seen their face. Bob called me once and I thought he had a funny voice. He's probably either a geek, or a woman.

Comments
As you can see, comments are a step closer! Still, they are not functioning yet. Oh well, in time hopefully. I'm trying to learn ASP.NET, so maybe in time I will be able to look at the code and figure out what the problem is with it. In the mean time, I am just praciting my guitar (which I seem to have gotten better at playing, even though I havn't gone over my regular proactice in quite a while. Lesson is at seven tonight, so I need to keep going, but it seems like I have just been given the ability to read it! :) Maybe it just clicked finally. But in any case, I can read the music and do a good job of playing it by just looking at the notes.

Next up today is American Government, which I have a test in on Tuesday. My last test was pretty bad because I didn't, foolishly, study my notes the way I should have of. It seemed like a majority of my points were lost there. I did really well on multichoice and current events. If I can just get my notes down, I think I can get an A on the test - probably even a high A. Let's just hope I can find all my notes.

Isn't my blog unusually boring? I think it is. Most peoples' blogs are filled either with funny little comments, or really good points on an issue, or maybe even just grreat philosophical insight. Mine has none of those things. Oh well, maybe I'll get better in time! It's not like anyone is actually reading this anyway.

FeedDemon!
I've been looking at RSS readers and came across FeedDemon and I have to say I like it! Audible.com has the 9/11 Congressional hearings for free - very cool. I wish more companies would do cool stuff like this... I'm tired of ads at all the news sites.

As for those comments... I'm still looking at it :)

Band of Brothers...
I started watching Band of Brothers with some of my friends the other night. We watched the first two episodes, which I had already seen most of, but it had been so long that I was very impressed. I'm looking forward to seeing the episodes I missed.

I am not sure if I will be doing anything fun tonight... On the one hand I'd like to go out and see a band (Over the Weather) but I don't really have the money or time, so I think I might just hang out here tonight and study up for American Government and West and the World. Those two are tough classes, though I really enjoy American Government. I hope next year to take a class on American Presidents.

Anyway, I am going to go do something... not sure what but I am getting restless!

I'm back...
I haven't posted in a while, so I thought I should. Comments still don't work and I have no idea why... I'll keep looking at them. Tomorrow I have a "West and the World" test, which is one of my toughest classes just because of the amount of information. The book is packed with little facts no one cares about. The test covers around two hundred such pages. Plus there are notes to be memorized as well. Oh well.

With the exodus of nearly the whole site around the first of April, I'm not sure what we are going to do. I am sure Jon will post if he is around. We have web access at our hotel rooms, but I'm not planning on spending too much time there. Oh, I don't think Byron is going to the Summit (as he lives in Great Britian). Anyway, should be interesting, and fun! I'll try to bring as many pictures as I can back.

Not much news out there it seems... so people are making big deals over the smaller news items (as usual). I'm getting tired of Pakistan and Isreal. It is sick when they are sending children to blow themselves and others up. If it is really such an honor to become a 'martar,' then why do not those recruiting the kids become martars? On top of that, the latest kid they sent over was apperantly not all there in the first place....

In happier news, the economy is doing better. Also, kind of funny, Richard Simmons slapped a man. When it's written out like that it just doesn't seem as funny, but it is. Also, I found out just how tough monks really are.

I don't really have much else to ramble on about. It's supposed to storm here tonight, so I am looking forward to that... first of the year :-).

I'm in the process of trying to get comments to work. Right now they don't, so please be patient with me. I'll try to have them up and working as soon as possible.

AP: al-Qaida No. 2: We Have Briefcase Nukes
Another interesting article, it make you wonder if they are to be believed. Part of terrorism is scaring people, and this report will scare a lot of people whether truthful or not. Oh well, let's hope for the best.

TIME: Decoding the Chatter
I saw this article and thought it was quite interesting. I think this is the fundamental problem with depending on intelligence. I hear everyone talking about "intelligence failures" lately, but the whole purpose of the intelligence community is to try to make as best a guess as you can. Regarding September 11, It would have been wonderful if the CIA or other intel organization had discovered the plot prior to its execution, but with five to six thousand peices of intel a day, you can't put too much credence into any one threat. As for Iraq, I don't think the CIA misled anyone (at least in America) but that is a whole other debate. Anyway, the article:
