Tip Difficulty Level: Novice

How This Tip Works

  • In the 'Portable Device' window, highlight the iPod icon. You should see a list of all the songs on your iPod.
  • Select the ones you want to copy and drag them to "My Library".
  • Make sure the new tracks are still selected, right click and choose "Add Tracks to Playlist Window".
  • Now choose File->Export Playlist Tracks.
  • Choose a directory and select "Copy As Is". Click "Start".
  • You should soon have copies of your mp3s on your PC.
  • Don't steal music.
