How This Tip Works
Things you will need:
-
Cocktail utility (freeware)
- iPod, FirewWire cable
- Five minutes of your time
The necessary steps:
- Mount your iPod on the desktop. Double click on
it.
- Use the Cocktail utility to turn on invisible files.
- Double click the "iPod_Control" folder then the
"Music" folder. These are the folders where your MP3's are hiding.
- Create a new folder called MyMP3 (or whatever you
like). Select all "Fxx" music folders and press Command A on keyboard
to make an alias of each.
- Drag and drop the "Fxx" music folder aliases onto
the MyMP3 folder, then double click on your iPod icon (on the desktop)
again to open a second window. Drag and drop the MyMP3 folder into
this window.
- Use Cocktail utility to turn off invisible files.
- Now you have a new folder that will stay with you,
so you can always access your music to make your back up copies, easily
and free of charge. PLEASE DO NOT STEAL MUSIC.
