Tip Difficulty Level: Novice
Mount your iPod on the desktop. Double click on
it.
Use the Cocktail utility to turn on invisible files.
Double click the "iPod_Control" folder then the
"Music" folder. These are the folders where your MP3's are hiding.
Create a new folder called MyMP3 (or whatever you
like). Select all "Fxx" music folders and press Command A on keyboard
to make an alias of each.
Drag and drop the "Fxx" music folder aliases onto
the MyMP3 folder, then double click on your iPod icon (on the desktop)
again to open a second window. Drag and drop the MyMP3 folder into
this window.
Use Cocktail utility to turn off invisible files.
Now you have a new folder that will stay with you,
so you can always access your music to make your back up copies, easily
and free of charge. PLEASE DO NOT STEAL MUSIC.
