How To Repair broken junk filters in Mail.app

How This Tip Works

Every so often it seems that the Junk Mail filters in Mail stop working, or not working in the way that they should be.

  1. Firstly, make sure that mail is not running.
  2. Rename LSMMap2 to LSMMap2.old.
  3. Restart mail and it will create a new copy of LSMMap2.
  4. You can delete your LSMMap2.old. once you feel that everything is working ok in mail after this tip has been completed.
