How This Tip Works

  • Open System properties in Control Panel. 
  • Click the Device Manager tab. 
  • Make sure View devices by type is selected. 
  • Click the plus sign next to PCMCIA Socket, and then double-click your PC Card controller. 
  • Under Device usage, select the Disable in this hardware profile check box, and then click OK.
