Windows Me: Bugs & Fixes
Windows DVD Player Won't Play My DVD's
Symptom: When trying to play various DVD's on Windows DVD Player, I get a "Can't play protected title" or an error similar to that.
Reply: One reason can be that your DVD hardware decoder is region encoded to a different region, but we have noticed that this problem happens even when the region is correct. It tends to happen more on DVD's that use the PC Friendly software with them. Cleaning the DVD like Microsoft has suggested didn't make a difference in any of the tests that we did.
Fix: Restart your computer and try the DVD again.
