  New Microsoft Mice unveiled!
Time: 12:40 EST/17:40 GMT | News Source: Clubic | Posted By: Brian Kvalheim

Thanks Julien! French website Clubic.com reports new improved Microsoft Mice. The new mice support four way wheel, better autonomy (up to 6 months) and new radio technology that should avoid parasits. The scroll wheel moves up and down and from left to right so you can scroll in any direction when checking out a document for example. The black version of the mouse is supposed to be in leather. There will be a black version of the Multimedia keyboard as well as natural multimedia keyboard.

You know, for the most part, Microsoft breeds a damned fine mouse :)

andyross, no a trackball is meant for tracking the mouse cursor... not for scrolling.

From looking at the pics, it seems as if the scroll wheel will rock slightly left and right (with appropriate pressure)... which makes more sense, I guess, than having a dedicated wheel to moving left and right, as you don't generally move left and right very often, and when you do, it's generally small movements.

Heavy mice are not for those work quickly or use the computer much. I can't stand them. Light mice are essential to getting work done and doing it without giving you carpal tunnel syndrome.
