| DirectX 8 (which comes with WinXP) is backward compatible with DX7 games. That being said, some older games will not run under WinXP. You might want to check the game mfg's web site for a patch/fix/workaround, or try using the compatability wizard. Also, let us know which game you're having trouble with.
