I have experienced this several times in different computers with retail versions of XP:

You know how when viewed in Thumbnails, you can specify a picture to appear on the big folder image (used a lot for album covers in the My Music folder). If you don't choose an image, and view it with thumbnails, any images inside that folder appear as small squares, to indicate the contents.

Well, out of nowhere, and wih no warning, the system decides to use one specific image (could be that image of Abba's golden hits you have, or any other picture on your computer) and make it default for all thumbnails views, the bizarre thing is that it will keep some thumbnail image settings intact, while changing others. No matter what you do, reset the image to default, etc, will have an effet, only changing the image to another one and then restting it to deafult will work, except in those documents which do not allow this customization (document and setting, windows, My Documents, My Music...), leaving you with a grand mess, the solution?; go to tools/folder options/view and tick off cache thumbnails, then you are back to zero and will have to reset many of your customized My Music folders, etc.

It has happened in 5 computers with retail versions of XP Profesional..any ideas?
