Kelley - Setting up Users is relatively easy. It's what type of access you give them that counts. First, under WinXP Home, your default account is the equivalent of the computer administrator (I believe WinXP Home refers to it as the owner). You need to "lock down" this so your 17 year old can't get in and change their access rights. Go to Control Panel, and then User Accounts. For the main account, change the p@ssword to utilize a combination of Letters (with at least one capitalized) numbers and special characters - at LEAST 8 characters (the more, the less likely it is to be broken). And...change it at least once a month. Next, set up each of your childrens accounts and, rather than giving them Administrative rights (meaning they can add, delete, change, programs - i.e. screw up the computer), give them limited access (i.e. can't do the above). Additionally, under Internet Explorer, go under Content to control what they can/can't see. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, Nvidia GeForce 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS, Nikon D2H and D100
