| Not knowing what all you had on your computer, best guess is that one of the programs needed to be updated prior to installing SP2. (wild a** guess is that it was probably your antivirus program). If you can run the HD as a slave, do that to copy all of your data/my favorites/etc to a CD or DVD. | Unfortunately, most programs install registry entries and dll files, so copying the programs won't work. As to the Human Biology program, if you still have the CD, you can copy that directory to a CD/DVD to save the homework you've done. Once you restore your 'puter, install this program, run it and set whatever defaults it needs, and then copy over what you backed up.
