What software did you install or uninstall right before this problem occurred? This could be the key to providing a solution. You may be looking at reformating your HD. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, ATi Radeon 8500; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS, Nikon D2Hs and D100
Originally Posted by roadapple: I'm a Beta tester for AOL 9.0 and am always adding upgrades
Setting up a home network would't corrupt your access to your CD/DVD drives. This is usually caused by installing or uninstalling some sort of software (usually related to the creation of CDs/DVDs). My best guess is that it's something in the AOL 9 beta. You also mentioned you're always adding upgrades. I'm @ssuming that these are driver updates, etc. Best suggestion - Check to see if you can do a system restore back to a date prior to when this problem occurred. That should hopefully give you access to your drives. Make sure you back up all your data too. The one thing I've found is to very careful with what I choose to install. My last beta testing was with Win95. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, ATi Radeon 8500; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS, Nikon D2Hs and D100
