Can u ping them by ip address? Go to www.codeflux.com/tools, select nslookup, type roxio.com, and get the ip. Then go to start > run > type: cmd, click ok, and then type ping (the ip address)

Is this an upgrade or clean install?

If it's a clean install make sure you have java installed from microsoft.com/java

I think this will fix it:

start > run > type: regsvr32 urlmon.dll

Try safe mode w/ networking

Look at event viewer

Try the network diag test in Help & Support

Can you browse by ip address? http://ipaddresshere

Has this always happened? If not try system restore.

Uninstall anything that touches the winsock in add/remove programs. Remove stuff like new.net, bearshare, napster, webhancer, webenhancer, real download, anything that speeds up the web or speeds up downloads.

Clear the history, cookies, cache

In Internet Options, go to advanced tab, click restore defaults. Do same for security tab.

Do an in place repair

If you need help doing any of this, see my other post under the topic i just replied to.
