[/QUOTE] First, this site - ActiveWin - doesn't sell components. What you need to do is go into the motherboard's BIOS (usually by pressing F1 or F2 at startup - check the mobo's manual) and set the boot order to the first CD drive, then floppy (if you have one) then to the HD. That will allow you to boot from the CD. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D200 and D100

Couple of thoughts. First, try having just one CD drive (i.e. disconnect the 2nd drive) and try to boot from it. The boot CD drive should be the master drive (never the slaved drive). If that doesn't work, the the drive itself may be defective. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D200 and D100
