Hi there!! I recently installed Server 2003 (just server 2003, no Sp's yet) on one of my computers, and when i connect this PC directly to the internet via cable modem, my ISP wont allow it to connect to the internet. I would like the 2003 Server box to connect directly to my cable modem. However those gits seem to have some special software in place stopping exactly that. All my Win Xp boxes connect fine. What actually happens is I get a sort of Limited Connectivity for a few seconds when i plug it in, and then the IP is @ssigned (regular IP) but whenever I try to access anything in IE, nothing happens! Connect an XP computer and it works fine!! So far I tried : Disabling Remotely accessible Registry Paths, which worked only for a short while (a day or so), but then rebooted and same prob occured. Windows ICF is enabled on the connection, with all ICMP's disabled. Somehow my ISP knows that I'm running S2003, and are blocking all connectivity to it. Does anyone know a way I can get around this issue?? Any help much appreciated!! Thanks Ps ISP is telewest/blueyonder if that makes ne difference

WOO fixed it!! [emote|:)] Thanks for the big response [emote|:-P] What fixed it was installing SP1. I dont know how this made a difference but im not too bothered. Perhaps the ICF without the SP1 is slightly different. Dont know dont care but if anyone else h@ssame prob theres your answer. Thanks for your thoughts
