Hope this helps others who may be in the struggle... [emote|;-)] As it turned out, I ran network wizard on my wireless NIC and indicated that this particular PC connected directly to the network [as the option when using wizard], when I was finished, I had internet access just fine and also had the option of being able to share that connection which I didn't have before. Now, when I right click the wireless NIC connection and view 'advanced' properties I can actually set this connection to 'share'. Prior to this, the share feature was not on my wireless NIC but WAS on my ethernet NIC. Next, I ran network wizard on the ethernet NIC and when finished, no longer had the share option on the Ethernet NIC (yeah, some progress). From there, it was a matter of establishing a separate IP so I shifted the far right field a few numbers which would allow the Xbox 360 to find and okay the IP. From there, I did a google search to determine what IP my PC was using when on the net and placed that number as the gate when setting up the connection with the IP that was already approved on the Ethernet NIC. If you know your ISP's preferred DNS numbers, you're in. Couple of interesting points - when testing network accessibility upon completion, Xbox didn't like my PC (a test following IP & DNS) and wanted me to download streaming media software so I downloaded Media Player 11 as requested (FYI, a huge elephant of a program) and as it turned out, didn't need it since the connection is being shared with no concern over what's running on the PC and also, to hopefully settle this - a crossover cable IS NOT NEEDED.
