| Windows vista installation goes fine until it wont let me click next and down the bottom the screen in sais "Windows cannotbe installed on to this hardrive space. Windows must be installed on a partion formatted as NFTS any help much Appreciated |

| Are you doing a clean install? What size is the HD? | I am running windows XP home edition and run the installation whilst in windows Ive got a 40 gb hard disk (well thats what it sais on the front on the harddrive) but if i look at it on the coputer it sais 39.6gb |

| OK...first, it sounds like WinXP Home is using FAT, and not NTFS. You'll need to convert it to NTFS. Second, a 40gig HD is small. | thanks i also have another problem i know this might sound crazy but i took out i hard drive out of a xbox (a seagate) which has 350 gigs and says it works on windows aswell but whenever i put it in the computer and boot it up it either says "disk boot failure" or when i starts up into windows it is not in the list of hard drives in my computer |
