My friend clicked a link to " Is this a photo of you ? http://WWW.CUTEANDHOT.NET/PHOTO12.PHP " And Im trying to help her get rid of a virus she got when she chose to save the file from the link. Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of this virus ?! Symtoms include: 1) Clicks on a bunch of things 2] opens conversations and sends link it to them ( even tho shes not talking to them ) 3) Goes very slowly and freezes for a second

My daugther was also caught by this virus, although through someone else clicking on the link, and she was just talking to them at the time. It is a real pig to get rid of, but I may finally have done it..............still testing, as I have thought this a couple of times before. To remove it, and the various other things it allows in, I did need to use a number of tools which I either downloaded, or was able to load from free DVD'd on a PC magazine. The tools I used were (@ssuming you have anti-virus software already loaded); - Spyware Doctor v4 (free registration for limited period of updates) to clear out a lot of it. - WinOptimizer Platinum 3 (again, free registration) to remove items from registry, and loaded at start up. - Windows Explorer 'add-ins' (under tools) - to disable suspicious items e.g. gebcc.dll, qorsxnax.dll, xxywtut.dll. I may have done more than was required, and some may have had nothing to do with this virus, but it is always good to review items regularly. All seems quiet at the moment, so fingers crossed. I still have system files with a date changed to 7th March 2019, but doesn't appear to be causing problems at the moment (although something stopped me restoring to an earlier point when this happened!) Hope this helps Paul

Yer I got this very recently, i think ve got rid of it tho! [emote|:-)] All you need to do is block msn from having any acess to the web, then delete the file you saved (it may have come with another unknown file) delete both of them (even in the recycle bin) if u can put msn under quarantine. do a virus and spyware scan. ps mine was called picture 17 wih a 'oo' file attached DO NOT GO ON MSN! DELETE IT and then re-install it. That should fix it! [emote|:-)] ---------------------------------------------- Ill fix it
