| I got a computer without an operating system from ebay and for some reason I can't install window s xp on it. I have been able to get the windows files from the cd copied onto the harddrive but once I reboot it and it goes to the windows setup screen it crashes for some reason and gives me the blue screen of death. I have tried reformatting it several times but I can never get past the windows setup sequence. I am also sure the disc should be fine because it was brand new and sealed when I first tried it. I'd really appreciate any help on this. |

| Chances are that the motherboard requires a 3rd party disc controller driver that is installed at the startup of WinXP installation (at the bottom of the screen, you'll see something like Press F2 to Install Third Party Driver).
