Hey, i'm new here. For some reason my computer just started rebooting when i play games, i haven't made any recent changes to my video settings, i'm stumped. Im running a custom built hp with a 2.93 ghz celeron processor, 769mb of ram, 2 hard drives, and a ati radeon 9250 256mb graphics card and win xp sp2. someone help!

Games produce a lot of heat. And this could be an indication of heat. First thing I'd check for is dust. Open up the computer and check for excessive dust. If there is any, gently clean it out. Next, make sure the fans are running. Beyond that, it'd be difficult to diagnose. Did this problem start with a particular new game or with games that you've already been playing. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200 and D100

Check the requirements for that game - it may need an updated video driver, or your computer may not be suited for it. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200 and D100

Like I said first, check for a heating issue. Next - check to make sure you have the latest driver. Beyond that, you may want to have the computer checked by a reputable firm. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200 and D100
