Did your HD come with some sort of embedded partition or HD management software? It sounds like it did as it's preventing the HD from being formatted.

Hi Jedi Master,
Yes my HD is 149,05GB and it has a primary Partition with 149,04 GB and a Unallcated Partition with 9MB.
I can't delete this small partition, I just can make at least 1MB.
So Vista don't let me Format the Hard Disk, because of the two partitions.

Is this a "custom" built system or one from a mfgr (HP, Dell, etc.?) If from a mfgr, then I'd recommend checking their site for any information.
If it's a custom system, let us know the make and type of HD (i.e. IDE, SATA, etc)

Hi again,
This is a two weeks custom built system.
Intel core duo 6600
RAM 2GB
Motherboard - ASUS P5W DH deluxe
Graphik Card - TwinTech 8600GT 256MB
Hard Disk master - Serial SATA 160MB
Hard Disk slave - Serial SATA 320MB - Formated
Hard Disk IDE 80MB - Formated
I googled vor a while and I saw that some people had the same problem with windows XP (System Partition is not allowed to be formatted)
and they should delete the partitions, but in Vista it dos' not let me delete the small 9MB partition.

Did you contact the manufacturer of the computer? They may have some information on how to correct this.

I know that You already solved this problem but maybe it will be handy for You in future. GParted - free soft directly from linux for managing partitions. It is bootable from CD (download -> burn -> reboot and have fun). [emote|;)]

Most of the new laptops have some kind of protection... You can't put them OS older than when You bought your laptop. There are some ways to hack it but... dunno.
