| i hit my xbox playing halo 2 stupid of me, its making a clicking noise and i know what it is and when i turn it on it blinks red and goes to a screen that tells me to call somthing how do i fix this ---------------------------------------------- ian shriner |

| if the hard drive is clicking its dead you need a new HD [build an eprom reader ) this is very very easy to do ( the hardes thing is holding the probes in place starting the xbox and hitting the mouse button to start the software up ( ponyprog ) -http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/357863 extract the eerpom get hdmaker - google it check this link for more info http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/332766 build the disk as direction in above ( using your eeprom) get new IDE disk drive and put in PC ( only the new drive and Cd rom - on seperate IDE btw ) HD must be on IDE0 or A as the linux app wont see the drive on the wrong connector but will report its connect at startup and you will get a drive cant be found on idea install on new disk drive as per instruction - make sure you lock it put in xbox sorted the go and google ndure buy splinter cell ( £1.99) an xbox memory card with a usb connection cable ( you dont need AR just the software ) i use a blaze card - and usbview free - again google and how to mod the inf file to get AR to see other memory cards look its a media centre - WOW ok so you need to read a little but this is the crux of what you need to do ---------------------------------------------- to regret is to lose a second time |
