There are a number of applications that are Vista compatible, that give me the blue screen whenever I attempt to run them.
This is the problem details I recieve:

A quick Google indicated that a probable cause may be a faulty or outdated device driver. Check to make sure that your video card driver is up to date.
Also, there are a couple of things you can do with applications that don't always play nice under Vista. All of these have to do with changing the security settings:
1. In Windows Explorer, go to Program Files/[specific program] and locate the EXE file. Right click and choose Properties. The first thing to try is under Security, choose Edit and locate your login. Check the Full Control box, and then test the application.
2. If there are still problems, do the same above and choose Compatability. Check the Run As Administrator box.
3. The next step would be to choose Windows XP compatability (same as #2, but choose Windows XP Compatability).
