Hi Guys, I was wondering if someone can help me figure out why my XBOX v1.6 with EVOX Dashboard and Windows XP SP2 dont talk through CrossOver cable. I can get my XP latop and Vista Desktop to talk to each other through cross over cable. I can also get my XBOX and Vista Desktop to talk to each other through cross over cable but when I connect my XBOX and XP latop with Cross over cable they don't detect each other and my local area connection status is unplugged and my XBOX detects no link. General TCP/IP settings on XP laptop is on Obtain IP address automatically Obtain DNS automatically Alternate Configuration is IP: 192.168.0.1 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 XBOX static IP: 192.168.0.2 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1 DNS:0.0.0.0 DNS:0.0.0.0 My XP Laptop is connected wirelessly to my router Router IP : 192.168.1.1 With CrossOver cable between XP laptop and XBOX Ping to 127.0.0.1 is successful Ping to 192.168.0.2 is unsuccessful If anyone have had any such problem or knows what might be the problem I would appreciate some help.
