I have a small network (eight XP clients, a 32bit 2003 Server client, and a 64bit Server 2003 Domain Controller). The domain controller is regularly logging "Error 1054" in the Application log. None of the clients have a problem finding the domain controller - only the domain controller itself! I've gone through the list of possible causes provided by the MS online link from the event log, and everything seems fine. The system works just fine. The domain controller was promoted to a domain using the wizard and has been generating the log entry every five minutes or so ever since (several years now). I'm getting tired of the "event log full" message I get every few months.
