Hello,
I've done a quick search of past threads but cant seem to find a solution to the issue my computer is giving me.
Every time I play a game, it will crash and restart the computer. Sometimes it will take a few hours, while other times it only takes a few minutes.
*Games played on full screen and windowed mode give me the same issues* It has never crashed while doing anything other than gaming
I had initially thought it to be overheating, but the highest my temperature readings have ever gotten is 50 degrees Celsius; normally they are around 40-45.
I've looked inside the computer to make sure all the fans were working, and although dusty (which I cleaned out) they all work fine.
My friend suggested that it may be my power supply but I have no idea how to check if it is faulty or not.

-> I will print screen the error report next time it pops up.

From what I gather all my drivers are up-to-date as are all my windows updates. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated [emote|:)]

Games are notorious for stressing out systems and finding the "weak link". It could be anything from the video card overheating (as I recall, the ATi 9550 doesn't come with a fan, so that might be a possible problem) to a bad RAM or video RAM chip.
First, did this problem start after installing/downloading a particular program or ??? If it's something that recently started, I'd start to suspect hardware failure somewhere. Best recommendation would be to have a decent computer shop check it out.

Thanks for the reply.
After a quick look, I should point out that the 9550 does look like it has a fan on it.
I've spent the entire day re-installing and updating some major drivers - some of which were actually outdated - so I'll see how that fairs.
It is a rather new issue though, I believe. I use to be able to play WoW for hours upon hours with no crashing. I've only really tried playing Diablo II and Maple Story recently, both of which crash.
I will update after all the drivers are installed and I try to play.
Thanks again [emote|:)]

Haven't had much of a chance to really test it out yet, but it looks like (fingers crossed, knock on wood) that the updates to the various drivers worked.
I'll update here if it happens to crash again.
