I'm not sure what it is but anytime i rightclick any drive in my computer these two options are there(displayed in the image link at the bottem). ?I was wondering if anyone may have a similar issue and if anyone would know a possable cause or solution to this. any insight at all would be great! http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv318/InverseStaghelm/asdasd.jpg

Most likely this is caused by a virus. What antivirus are you using? ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway 15.4" Laptop, Windows Vista Ultimate/Server 2008, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

AVG and Zone Alarm

First, I'd recommend choosing one or the other. Using two antiviruses creates a conflict. Second, when did this problem appear? i.e. after the installation of a particular program? It appears that a program either added or changed some of the options and put them into a different language (looks like either Greek or an asian language). ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway 15.4" Laptop, Windows Vista Ultimate/Server 2008, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

My mistake, Zone Alarm is a fire wall not an anti virus. I built this computer about 2 months ago and installed the so from scratch, sometime between then and now i noticed when i opened any drive from my computer it would always pop up in a new window, other then that everything else seems fine, but recently it bothered me that it happened and after not being able to change the way it opened a new window, i noticed these options when i right click, and since one is in bold i assumed it was the default when simply double clicking. since the initial install i haven't bothered installing anything other then a few programs that came with the motherboard and video card, that are on a cd, most of which i don't use or removed.

Hmmm....my guess is that it's either one of those programs that came with the mobo (by chance, is it an off brand?) or perhaps the wrong language installed for the video card drivers. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway 15.4" Laptop, Windows Vista Ultimate/Server 2008, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

Turns out this was a trojan named w32.Fackerecy. I decided to try out some new anti-virus(norton2010) software and it was cleaned out. Seems each time i clicked on a drive it would attempt to connect to the internet, do whatever it does, and then open the drive in a new window.
