I like the fact that its still pratical looking and not too childish like OS X.

I just hope that the final one alows the user to turn off any thing they dont like

-- MS PLEASE DONT FORGET YOUR POWER USERS!! Dont treat us like children like Apple does

And PLEASE:
tidy up all those unneeded scroll bars and allow users to customize/remeber all column views

Make the size of the window auto scale to the screen rez!!

And while your're at it: make any window able to stay on top as the users chooses.

And if its not already patented by someone else then implement default windows locations so a window can be told to always open at a certain place regardless of where it was last closed or sized

yeah.. that would be great..

yeah..

Not sure I like the new IE look. Seems to similar to the kiosk software that MS uses for visitor terminals.

#3: re: windows opening at the same position. This is something that each app has to do on their own. All the apps I program do this. But I agree that it is nice when apps do this, and it would be nice if Windows made it easier for this to happen.

#3 - hmmm not sure what your looking at but OS X certainly looks far from childish, yeah it has some fancy animations, but so does longhorn.
