Microsoft has announced the pricing scheme for the various versions of its new Windows 7 operating system pricing. And once again, Microsoft is insisting on confusing some folks. At the same time, Apple offers a relatively easy pricing plan for its upcoming Snow Leopard operating system. |

| I pre-ordered several W7 upgrades. I found $49 and $99 per license to be very clear. |

The upgrade price of Ultimate is also very clear..... Ultimate is dead, Windows 8 will not have such edition and MS intentionally did not offer any early discount on that specific edition to discourage people from buying it. |

| Ultimate may be the only version on TechNet though. We'll have to wait and see... |
