HealthVault Connection Center is software from Microsoft that you can download for free. It runs on your computer and enables you to transfer measurements from health and fitness devices (such as blood pressure monitors, pedometers, glucometers and many others) via your computer to your online HealthVault account.

@TechLarry - Why is this scary? Don't get me wrong, I don't understand why anyone feels it is required for Google or Microsoft to have their health information. If anything I would like to put it in a password protected app on my iPhone.
However at the same time do I really care if Google or Microsoft know that I have this or that blood type, if I am diabetic or have MS.
I know we all are on the watch for the evil Big Brother will do with this data...but really in the end..they can do what they want with us any ways. Unless we are start picking up our hair clippings from the hair dresser..you DNA and therefore Health data is everywhere anyways.
I say let google/microsoft have it...maybe it'll work like crowd sourcing and they can pinpoint certain geographic trends for disease or good health.
but what do i know....

TechLarry,
I see where you're coming from, but is it better or worse for msft/google to know your blood type... OR for them to know your search history? I've never known anyone to go to prison for their blood type.

I don't think ANY of it is their damned business.
Remember, this is just the beginning. Who's to say that some day a prospective employer couldn't access this data (or it's stolen and is released in the wild - and don't tell me that could never happen as it has) and you are declined a position because you have Diabetes and they worry you could help increase their health insurance premiums?
Sure, that's against the law. But since when has that stopped them from doing it.

But guys... aren't we now living in the era where we can't be declined for pre-existing conditions?
obama told me so.
