Here is one tip I would love to see an answer for:
In Win2k one of the options at Ctrl+Alt+Delete was "Lock Computer." In WinXP that does not seem to be an option (Having the computer prompt for a password after screen saver mode is still an option, and makes for a work around). Is there an easy way to lock the computer?

Thanks

This is the sort of thing that drives me to return to a web site.

Keep up the good work!

Bernard_Marx: I still have that option under XP. Are you running Home edition?

gt, As far as I know, you can't unless you use a third-party tool. I forgot why.

Hmm. I still get the same options when I hit CTRL-ALT-DEL under WinXP as under Win2k. Could this be because my machine is a member of a domain?

Sodablue - Yes, when connected to a domain, it acts like Windows 2000.

It is a good idea - but remember we need to pay for our server thus advertisements are really the only way we can keep the site going. Putting them into HTML help files would end the adverts.

Thanks for all the suggestions on how to lock my computer (not connected to a domain). The option is still there at Ctrl+Alt+Del, just renamed as Switch User. The Windows Key+L seems to be the best option.
Once again, thanks for all your help.
