The .Net Framework Data Provider for Oracle is an add-on component to the .Net Framework® that provides access to the Oracle database. This provider relies upon Oracle Client Interfaces provided by the Oracle Client Software.

Ok... I saw this last week... mea culpa for not sending mail out to everyone. :)
Interesting that Oracle is also creating one. It'll be interesting to see how they compare.

This is really better than expected. In the past, Microsoft's ODBC and OLE DB for Oracle never supported Oracle's LOB (BLOB, CLOB, NCLOB) and BFILE types, but this provider does.
