Blaster worm drives traffic to Microsoft site | |

The MSBlaster worm ensured that traffic to Microsoft's TechNet site rose by 1131 percent in the week which ended on August 17, data provided by Nielsen//NetRatings, a firm that deals in internet audience measurement and analysis, shows. The firm said the spread of the worm that week also caused a big increase in traffic to the sites of anti-virus software vendors. |

| Interesting. If that had only happened the week before, Blaster and Welchia probably wouldn't have caused too many problems. |
