A situation has been identified where the Blaster worm could have infected some systems before the application of MS03-026 [KB823980]. This tool will help remove the Blaster worm from these systems. For systems with MS03-026 [KB823980] or MS03-039 [KB824146] already installed, no further action is needed once this tool is installed. Install this tool to help remove this worm from your PC. | ||

| Kinda late to release such tool, but well it's M$. But this tool removes Blaster and patch the hole? What about other related bugs like "Nachi" and the others? |

Yeah, that seems kind of silly. by now, if you are still infected with the Blaster, then you are the kind of person who is not going to find and use a tool like this. Anyway, didn't the Blaster removed its self at the end of the year? So wouldn’t simply setting your clock correctly do the same thing?
#3, Nachi was an alias name for Blaster.D. I would imagine this tool removes all well known forms of the Blaster. PS, unless you feel that it is inappropriate to make money on software, then don’t imply, by saying M$, that Microsoft is evil for trying to make a profit. If you do feel that way, then I don’t know what to tell you; even the Open Source software distributors are in it for the money. |
