Time: 00:00 EST/05:00 GMT | News Source: ActiveWin.com | Posted By: Robert Stein

This article is a discussion of how to access Oracle stored procedures (named SQL programming blocks) and functions (which are programming blocks that return a single value) using ADO.NET. You connect to an Oracle database using managed data providers, including the Microsoft® .NET Oracle Provider, the OLE DB .NET provider, the ODBC .NET data provider, or the ODP.NET provider from Oracle. This article uses the Microsoft® .NET Framework data provider for Oracle. Different functionality is available using the Oracle ODP.NET data provider or the Microsoft .NET Framework data provider for OLE DB.
